Melissa Goff holds a master's degree in speech-language pathology from Sacred Heart University. She is licensed in both North and South Carolina. Melissa provides speech therapy in English and Spanish.

 

She regularly attends continuing education courses and conferences to stay current with the latest research in the field.

​

Melissa is an orofacial myologist, providing myofunctional ("myo") therapy to clients with current or past history of tongue and lip ties, airway issues, feeding problems, and/or thumb sucking. Melissa is certified as a QOM (Qualified Orofacial Myologist) with Neo-Health Services. To receive the QOM distinction, therapists must pass a written exam and submit a case study for board review.

 

Melissa also provides speech, language, fluency, and pragmatic therapy for children from preschool to high school.

Past therapy experiences have included serving in public schools, private schools, home health, telehealth, and private practice settings.

​

Melissa works closely with families and teachers to provide education and support throughout the therapy process. She also collaborates with other healthcare professionals, including pediatricians, dentists, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to ensure that each child receives comprehensive and coordinated care.

Melissa understands every child is unique, and she tailors her therapy programs to meet the individual needs and goals of each child and family. Melissa uses evidence-based practices and innovative techniques to make therapy fun and engaging for children of all ages.

​

As a mother, Melissa understands the need to incorporate therapy strategies into the daily routine. She seeks ways to seamlessly integrate carryover of skills. 

​

Outside of work, Melissa enjoys exercise, audiobooks, and traveling. She is also a co-leader in her daughter's Girl Scouts troop.

Shetal Amin, M.S., CCC-SLP, is an ASHA certified speech-language pathologist dedicated to using 20+ years of experience and a certification in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT) to help individuals with improving their speech, swallowing, and language skills.

Based in Charlotte, Shetal is available for telehealth and in-school sessions on a part-time basis. Shetal’s approach is personalized, rooted in the latest research, and focused on crafting a supportive environment designed to help your child gain the tools and confidence needed to meet their goals. As a transplant from New Jersey, Shetal and her family have been exploring Charlotte and the surrounding areas a little more each year and loving it!  She enjoys traveling, scuba diving, hiking, and kayaking with her family whenever they get a chance. Shetal also personally loves to do pottery, read, and cook.
