President’s Day is more than a long weekend (although that part is definitely appreciated!). In therapy, families can learn about this important holiday and target speech and language goals. Caregivers can ask comprehension questions during reading, as well as ask children what they would do if they became president. I love to hear their creative responses.
Below is a list of President’s Day books. Happy reading!
“Duck for President,” by Doreen Cronin
“The Kid Who Ran for President,” by Dan Gutman
“Celebrating President’s Day”, by Kimberly Jordano
“I am George Washington,” by Brad Meltzer
